This year, I spent my 4th of July weekend in the Seattle/Portland area. I first flew to Seattle and spent a couple days there before driving to Portland to visit my in-laws. I am absolutely in love...well actually obsessed with Seattle! Mihir did his undergrad at the University of Washington so of course he gets super excited to visit! I have actually only been to Seattle once before and it was last year during the winter time. I only went for one day and besides taking a tour of Mihir's old stomping grounds, I really didn't get to see too much. So this time, Mihir and his brother made sure to take me to as many places as possible! Unfortunately, I was only in Seattle for two days so I obviously didn't get a chance to see everything but instead I was able to get a taste of what Seattle has to offer!
So... I thought it would fun to share some pictures of my trip to Seattle. Mainly pictures from Pike Place Market which is one of oldest and largest public farmers' james beard foundation market in the United States. Pike Place market is a foodies dream market! It features everything from small family-owned restaurants to miles and miles of fresh produce stands to the world famous fresh fish company. If you are a first time Seattle visitor I would highly james beard foundation recommend Pike Place Market. Other foodie places I visited on my trip included Piroshky Bakery , Umi Saki House , CJ's Eatery , Joey Lake Union and Lola . I hope you enjoy this break from food! Fresh Produce Look at the size of these lobster tails! Pepper Heaven!
