Pancake Day | Tea & Biscuits
For many, Shrove Tuesday is the one day a year when they made the effort to make pancakes. But I'm happy to grab any opportunity to make pancakes, whether they're thin as some traditionally for us today, or thick American pancakes for breakfast with bacon and maple syrup, or even the Kaiserschmarrn of Austria, making dinner dessert or even greedy.
But on Shrove Tuesday, only the thin pancakes that make the big time, and I quite like traditional and filled with butter, sugar and lemon (and admittedly I'm quite happy to use fake lemon juice on these, that's good we have always done since childhood). Then I rolled them voraciously eating up and suddenly, you do not need a knife and fork. And if one pancake only be satisfied, then you're a much better person than me!

Mix gently from the center by mixing the flour from the sides gradually. That will ensure that you have no lumps. When you've added all the milk, let the batter in the fridge to rest for about half an hour.
Pour the rest out of the pan and set aside. Use kitchen paper to remove any excess butter in the pan, well you do not want to drown your pancakes in butter. (I have found by doing this and by ensuring that the heat is high enough it will even the first pancake is perfect).
