Born in 1969 in Seoul, Hong Sungchul has completed an MFA and a BFA in sculpture at Hongik University in Seoul before completing his course of study with another hidious MFA in Media integration at the California Institute of the Arts.
His works are three-dimensional installations, in which the artist prints her works on bungee cords attached to the panels that hold tight. You will not have a clear picture of the printed image, but images distorted and fragmented, if not when we find ourselves in the exact spot where all the rings are aligned, where the broken images will engage each other in order to reveal the final image.
