Three ordinary days (so common they can now become) has passed here in Ghana since last time. The day before yesterday we struggled to school despite sickness but took it very calmly. We rested well at home in the afternoon and checked in no less than three Game of Thrones episodes and a feature film hehe. :-) We also ran on Amorkor who is the consul's daughter and she is every completely appalled when she heard that we have never been out here in Ghana. dekalb county She ordered us to immediately take a trip to the nearest bar and throw in a few shots for us to * live a little now that dad is at home in Sweden *. Haha where did our past so serious contact the road and what is the party mom who has replaced her? Evening view from the balcony Yesterday we got a guided runtur at a neighboring school where we got to greet the staff and pupils and then look at all their different trees (cashew, mango, dekalb county palm, plantain-, guava and orange trees). Nicely Nicely. Our dear art teacher had been kind and brought along a respective packet tiger nuts (judgment dekalb county we tried on our trip to Cape Coast) dekalb county to us after he found out that we love them. How kind! Thankfully we were spared banku and ate instead dekalb county riskletbollar dekalb county with fish soup for lunch, = much better. dekalb county Actually. Pia and our technology teacher under a cashew tree after the school principal's assistant Grace took us to the Akra market to watch more fabrics, wiiii. In two hours we crossed again until between people, stalls, goods and goats. With us home, we got two different fabrics was to sew clothes dekalb county with and plantains and bananas. Something that's nice here is that vendors often offer reasonable prices to us from the beginning so we do not haggle. The fabrics we got eg pay 5 cedis for the meter (1 cedi = 3.5 SEK). But then it is also expected that we as foreigners to pay a little more. For example, we paid 20 cedis each for Canopy Walk, while the price for ghanianer was 14 cedis. We could atleast appreciate the market more this time because dekalb county we both felt more familiar with it and had time to stop and look at everything. After a long trotrofärd home (we did it !!!!) surplade we in us with their orange and then set with the laundry. Grace from school who helped us around the market. Beside her stands gigantic mortar sticks ghanianerna dekalb county use to mash banku and cassava Last night's premiere we cooked Garin (grated dekalb county cassava) we bought last market visit. However, it was not as successful as we have to ask again how it's cooked the best ... We do not understand dekalb county how all ghanianer can be so very fond of tracing of various kinds. What is it that is so flattering with it? :-) The rest of the evening we spent anyway to practice through the lesson we would hold the day after on the blood and circulatory dekalb county system. When teaching is very focused facts here and there that are highly valued is memorization, lessons go out often to repeat what is in the book, but we try to make it as fun as possible anyway. Discussions and own thinking is not given as much space at all and Pia sees strong similarities to the American teaching. dekalb county Morning assembly at the school here they march off to their classrooms Yesterday we talked about the difference between learning the way in Sweden and in Ghana with the principal dekalb county and he agreed that the students here are often just repeat what the teacher has said, like parrots. He continued by saying that it is not desirable but that it is difficult to change the current school system where everything is about getting the right answers to the final examinations. Moreover, we believe that education is very focused on Ghana and that knowledge of other countries is extremely dekalb county flawed. When we talked to a Togolese (from the neighboring country to the east) so we immediately noticed a big difference in knowledge of the world and he also pointed out that ghanianer only things on their own land. World maps and little knowledge about other than G Hanas traditions, language, geography, climate and literature would probably make the school and the school's students well. :-) Pia in action
Today we held our lesson on blood cells, and it went so well, we think we managed to reach just the whole class. Nelson reported afterwards that students really appreciate our lessons. We also got a chance to talk to the teacher for primary class we took care of last week and she told me that the students had learned a lot of us. Lo and behold! We thought that she ran first but apparently not. They could certainly rattle off various uses of animals * *. We were so proud. :-) We also got to be on form. One's home economics lesson today was practical in terms of cooking. In the odors we went around to behold how all classical ghanianska dishes cooked. We were looking at all sorts of lumps and smears; fufu, banku, dry cassava lump etc etc. There are endless possibilities when it comes blob creation here. It was with pain in his eyes, we saw how good plantains mashed together with cassava and became fufu. : '(Tracing becomes (and sweet Cocoa, primary school teacher, right) All ready meals and so the whole shape
